Yes, I must agree this course was quite intense, but at the end I’m extremely happy with my results. I knew it wouldn’t be an easy course and that’s one of the reasons I decide to challenge myself and stick it out. That’s was the best thing I’ve done, because now I have finished a seventeen-page paper and I’m damn proud. I never thought that at the end of my research paper I would be motivated to write another paper. I would definitely consider myself a research writer at this point. The most important part of this research writing class was my Professor; he gave me advice, determination and made me want to accomplish this goal. He is truly a blessing in disguise

The most useful assignment to me during this research process was the anno bib. It gave me a chance to compare my ideas to early research. It also allowed me to see what other authors have research in the past and if my research was redundant. The most helpful feedback was from my professor and my peers. When I meet with my professor, he gave me valuable insight and new ideas for my research paper. When I traded research papers with one of my peers it gave me a chance to see someone else work and get new ideas and give feedback. The most difficult part was deciding what information to include in my research paper and what to leave out. Even though I found a lot of information, I started to take me off the main path of my research. The easiest part was gathering data for my paper and I must admit the most exciting part also. I think it’s because I had so many things I wanted to ask these women and I knew the responses would be quite interesting. I think my best ability has a writer was collecting the data. The interview process came natural to me and it allow me to gather detail information about these women and their sexuality.

What did you learn from your peer review projects about 1) Writing and Editing in general, and 2) your actual research project, specifically.
I really enjoyed the peer review projects, it gave me a chance to look at someone else work and get some ideas about my own writing. I learned that everyone’s not perfect and that actually I and my partner were having some of the same issues. I t also gave me a chance to see what else I might be missing from my own research paper, and what I might want to incorporate in my final draft. When it came to editing my peer review partner I didn’t really have too much, what happen was I actually notice some mistakes in my own writing. Like punctuations marks and where I use use more transition words in my writing. My partner said she enjoyed reading my project and she would love to reread it when it’s complete. I must admit that did make me smile a bit, but it also gave me motivation to complete my research paper.
