How to write a research proposal?

After doing a little research I realized that writing a research proposal isn’t as bad as it sounds. What I got out of the information I read, was that a research proposal is like a guide to writing your research paper. It has the most important information about your research. The ideas that lead you to this research, the way to think or feel about the research and how this research could benefit others.

How to write and research outline?
After doing some research I found out that an outline is pretty much your whole research paper broken into parts. It’s a way to keep you ideas and thoughts straight while written your research paper. It’s like a reference that we can always refer back to when you get writers block or don’t know what to write next.

Lesbians: Why do some women transition into homosexuality after having children?

This research paper is about why women become homosexual after having children. My case studies will be on three friends of mines that have all choose this lifestyle. As of recently they all have decide that they like women. The problem for me is that they all have young children, who are very much involve in their lives. I have been a witness on many occasions to their new life style and my mouth was left wide-open so many times. I guess it doesn’t sit that easy when it’s your own friends. At times I find myself getting very annoyed with some of the pictures and texts I see or things that I hear them say. At times I have to walk away because it becomes overwhelming for me. Although I love my friends to death I just really want to know that their happy and not just influence by other friends, society, and movies. I’m not here to judge my friends or throw the book at them but just trying to understand why they made this decision.

Method: The method that I choose is to do “case studies”. First I’ll start with 10 open-ended questions for my three friends. The reason I decide to do it this way, so I can see what they are willing to talk about and what off-limits. Like I said before I don’t want to lose my friends I just want a better understanding of their new lifestyle. Second I will do “face to face” interviews this will allow me to converse with them, read their body language and notice their emotions.  Third I will ask for pictures of their past and show them how they have change within the last two years.

So far I have read journals and court documents about different issues about lesbian and gays. I have come across some good information and I have read up on some famous and infamous lesbian women also. Although the research is a must, I want my research paper to be more based on life, real situation.
